Perth Zoo

One of the things I love to do when we get a bit stir crazy is head to Perth Zoo. We have a yearly pass, which works out really affordable and is perfect for when we need an entertaining day out. The pass also entitles you to a discount to the cafe, and there is $5 all day parking close too which can make for a cheap adventure.

Even though Tinkerbell is a little too young to enjoy some of the animals, when they are close she gets really excited so the nocturnal house in particular is great fun for her.

One of the things she also loves is the animal statues that are around the zoo! They are always great things for the kids to climb all over and have some fun with.

We also on occasion have a ride on the carousel. I think more than anything she loves the lights, but it is something exciting and only costs $5.

If you have older children, you can also book in for an eye-to-eye giraffe experience, which $5 lets you go up to a observation deck and feed leaves to giraffes. You can check out a previous post I wrote on it here.
